OASES, Inc. receives support from Roper Resources

Palm Bay, FL, PALM BAY, FL, January 7, 2003 - OASES, Inc. is pleased to announce that Roper Resources of Ojai, California has donated a color underwater camera to OASES that will allow the organization to further many of its research and development projects. The Inuktun Firefleye Micro Drop Camera, which is 1½" in diameter and 2" in length, has a depth capability of 1,000 feet of seawater. The camera is equipped with ten superbright LEDs capable of illuminating objects within a few feet. The camera will allow the OASES Aquaculture division to view coral reefs and assess their status without putting a diver in the water or to have a diver perform a survey without having to carry a bulky camera. In addition, the OASES Research and Development division will utilize the camera to view and assess the performance of underwater systems it designs in both a controlled environment and directly in the ocean. OASES and Roper Resources are currently investigating the possibility of collaborating on the development of tools to be used for both education and environmental monitoring and management.
