What is OASES?

Oceanic Applied Sciences and Environmental Solutions (OASES) is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt corporation that is dedicated to scientific research and education. Quite simply, OASES was born of the idea that individuals really can make a difference. For that reason, one of our key objectives is to educate the public on how they can get involved. In addition to education, OASES is involved in scientific research as well as designing innovative solutions aimed at energy and resource conservation.

OASES is comprised of three divisions in order to accomplish its many goals. The three divisions have their own goals and objectives as well as individual mission and vision statements to guide them along. The three divisions are: OASES Aquaculture, OASES Environmental, and OASES Research and Development.

What does OASES do?
  • Educates the general public on ocean and environmental topics through various media.
  • Addresses the lack of propagation of endangered plant species and implements and improves upon propagation techniques through the use of scientific experimentation.
  • Addresses the lack of propagation of hard and soft corals along with invertebrates and implements and improves upon propagation techniques through the use of scientific experimentation.
  • Develops and implements unique solutions to ocean and environmental engineering problems.
  • Acts as a vehicle for scientific research and development in the oceanic and environmentally related fields.
  • Showcases new and creative ideas to fulfill everyday activities that conserve energy and are environmentally friendly.
