Present Activities within OASES Environmental

  • The Environmental division has also been granted space at Brevard Community College in Palm Bay, Florida to set up a small hydroponics laboratory. Some of the future additions to the hydroponcs systems will include real time parametric monitoring, and state of the art lighting systems. This lab will support propagation and rapid growth of various plant and trees species that are in decline locally (Brevard county). Pictured below is the site of the future laboratory.

  • The Environmental division is continuing to work with mangroves and is experimenting with various growing techniques to potentially increase the growth rate of mangrove seedlings.

Future Activities Planned for OASES Environmental

  • Acquire a few species of endangered or declining trees and plants, and start testing propagation techniques and evaluating the growth rate of new starts in a hydroponic environment.
  • Increase mangrove propagation and work with other nonprofit organizations and schools to repopulate decimated areas. Also planned is to increase community involvement through education and encouraging volunteerism.
  • Will continue to improve on propagation techniques through scientific research.
